The Central Magnet UNICEF Club is having a back to school party during D rotation this coming Tuesday, September 12th. There will be cupcakes, king-sized chocolate bars, cookies, and drinks for everyone who attends, and we will be discussing advocacy and ways you can get involved in promoting human rights. Again, it is the UNICEF Club, and we are meeting D rotation in Ms. Heller's room (#238). Hope to see you there!
Attention Senior Beta club officers! We will have an officers-only meeting next Wednesday, September 13 immediately after school in Ms. Frazer's room (104).
The High School Quiz Bowl team is recruiting new members for the 2017-18 season. The team meets during D Club Rotation, and they also meet on Tuesday mornings (before school) and Wednesday after school. Meetings last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, and club members are asked to attend at least one of the two weekly meetings.
Quiz Bowl team members will participate in tournaments throughout the year. We are asking anyone who is interested in learning more about Quiz Bowl to join us for an introductory Q&A session Wednesday afternoon at 3:05 in my room (Room 120). If they are unable to attend, they can meet during D Rotation, which will take place tomorrow in my room at 9:40 a.m.
Any Foreign language student interested in learning more about being a Linguist or other language careers within the Navy, you are invited to attend an informative presentation from a Navy recruit that just completed her Linguistics program. The presentation will take place this Thursday morning at 8:30 am in Ms. Pinson's room. Please see your language teacher for more information.

TPUSA Announcement:
Come to the Turning Point USA club during D rotation. We will have donuts while talking about our goals for the year, along with what the club is about. The club meets in Dr. Edge's room (room 204)
The Interact Club will be meeting directly after school on September 14th from 11:15 - 11:45 in room 219.
The meeting will consist of electing officers and discussing service projects for the year.

The Middle School Lady Tigers Varsity soccer team defeated Rock Springs 4 to 1. Maria Kime, Zoe London, Riley Gusman and Ashleigh Clark each scored a goal. Zoe London had two assists and Ashlyn Jones had 3 saves.
The girls JV also won 2 to 0. Emme Lynn and Helen Strickland each scored a goal while Maddie Degnan had 3 saves.
The Lady Tigers next game is on Thursday, September 14th at LaVergne Middle.
The high school girls soccer team will attempt to play this evening at 5:30 here at Central against Lawrence Co. This is a big district match and all students can attend for free.
Bowling practice is cancelled for today. The next practice will be 3:45 Thursday at LTA.
