*There will be a Middle School Parent meeting for all Middle School boys interested in playing soccer on Monday, November 13th at 6:00 in room 226.  Any

questions, please contact Coach Ruess. 

 

*Governor School applications are due to the counselors by Nov 15th.  If you have questions, see your counselor.

 

*Any senior who is completing a Sertoma Scholarship essay need to turn it into their counselor by Nov 27th.

 

*In honor of Veterans Day, donations for United States Flags will taken this week during all four lunches.  For each dollar you give, a flag will be placed on the school lawn in remembrance of those Veterans who have honorably served our country.  The donations you make will be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. 

 

*Attention Seniors:

 

Applications are now being accepted online for graduating high school seniors to attend The National Youth Science Camp at no expense to the students. Two delegates from each state will be selected to attend the camp from June 27, 2018 to July 21, 2018 in West Virginia. During the camp, leading scientists from across the country will present lectures and hands-on science seminars. Delegates will also have opportunities to present seminars covering their own areas of interest and research. See Coach Nichols or Mr. Horton for additional information.

 

*For High School Students interested in earning community service hours; there will be a Veterans' dinner at the Methodist Church on Thompson Lane tomorrow Friday November 10th. Volunteers are needed to help serve and clean up. The arrival time would need to be around 5:00 in the evening and it would be for about 3 hours. If you have any questions, see Mr. Ruess.

 

 

*The high school swim team competed in their first meet of the season last night against Lavergne and Siegel. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regions in their individual events: Ricky Pletan, Marlee Bratsch, Anna Weis, Erin Chippeaux, Roman Pate, Ella Rosser, and Daniel Wendt.  Kailey Orr, Anna Weis, and Daniel Wendt also made State cuts in their individual events.

 

The middle school swim team will compete tomorrow morning in their first meet at Riverdale High School. Come out to support your Tigers!

*Students, remember to check the calendar for club day, there should never be any question about what clubs are meeting.
