*Students and staff -- the National Honor Society would like to thank you all for a wonderful job on the Angel Tree project. Thanks to your efforts, dozens of families and children will experience a brighter holiday season. This was truly the most impressive Angel campaign we've had in the history of our program. Once again, as usual, our Central Magnet community came together in a selfless way to help others. It's a great day to be a Tiger!
*This weekend several Central Magnet Band Students were selected to the Mid-State Band! Congratulations to: Rebecca Raynor, Sydney Staines, Bella Goodnight, & Matthew Rigsby.
*Congratulations to the middle school swim team who took 2nd place at their meet this past weekend! The following swimmers qualified for Regions: Taylor Walker, Caden Sweetman, David Moreno, Kaitlyn Elliott, Lilly Ann Brown, Jonathan Sanders, Matthew Moore, Cameron Walker, and Damian Greene.
The high school swim team also competed in a meet this past weekend against several Rutherford County teams. The following swimmers swam Region-qualifying times in their individual events: Morgan Ouellette, Nick Gobich, Anna Waldecker, Ella Rosser, Ricky Pletan, Erin Chippeaux, Adriana Calzavara, Nick Gill, Vinny Cantrell, Zachary Allgood, Marlee Bratsch, Daniel Wendt, and Roman Pate. Congratulations to Kailey Orr, Anna Weis, and Nick Gill for also qualifying for State in their events.
*9th & 10th grade String Orchestra students competed this past weekend for the seats in the Mid-State orchestra.Congratulations to Julia Son, Michael Sowell, and Sophia Kennan on earning their spots in the Mid-State orchestra, and special congratulations to Isabella Reish on placing both in the Mid-State and the All-State orchestra!
