*If you are currently enrolled in a dual enrollment class, you must go online ASAP and complete the state grant application in order for the cost of the class to be covered. Please see your counselor for questions.

 

*Seniors:  The deadline to submit the FAFSA for the TN Promise Scholarship is Jan 16th.

 

*Spanish Students -- Listen up! The Annual MTSU Spanish Competition is taking place on Feb 17th. We are needing 3 students from each level to represent Central in a Vocabulary contest. We MUST know who our participants are by this Friday. If you are interested and would like more info you may see any of the Spanish teachers to let them know as soon as you can.  Thank you!

 

*All freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and their advisors will report to the auditorium for an exciting guest speaker from Yale this Wednesday.  Students will sit with their advisors so look for them when you enter as attendance will be taken.

 

*Northfield Elementary is looking for some high school students to help with their Renaissance Fair on February 23.  There are 2 shifts that students can sign up to volunteer: 3-6 pm and 6-9 pm.  If you are interested call Courtney Mobley at 615-556-9140.  We will also put this information on the community service page connected to Mr. Nichols' webpage.

 

*Juniors:  The counselors will begin registration appointments today.  Please come to guidance at your scheduled appointment time, you do not have to wait to be called out of class.

 

*Seniors:  The Ned McWherter scholarship is open for seniors with a 3.5 and 29 ACT or higher.  The link to the application is on the Guidance Financial Aid webpage.

 

*Attention senior advisory students of Coaches Kirksey and Worsley: you will all report to Coach Worsley’s room today for Advisory. As usual, be on time and ready to learn as we have much to accomplish today!

 

*The Central Magnet Men's Varsity team dropped their first district game to Nolensville by a score of 49-45. The Tigers were led in scoring by Steph Laird with 14 points, Will Carver with 13 points, and Patrick Norman with 9 points.

The Tigers will be in action again on Friday when they travel to Marshall County.

 

*The Lady Tigers lost to a physical Nolensville team on the road, 44-27. They will play at Marshall County on Friday night.
