"Rho Kappa members.  We will have a mandatory Wednesday morning at 7:15 in Dr. Edge's room.  We will register for National History Day and finalize our roster.  Bring your dues to this meeting. If you have any questions, come by or email Dr. Edge."

 

*The Ned McWherter scholarship application is available on the Guidance webpage and is due Feb. 15. Please see your Counselor with questions.

 

*Seniors:  The JPJ minority scholarship is available on the Guidance Financial aid page.  It is due March 16.

 

*High school girls interested in science, technology or engineering, there is a one-day conference at the Adventure Science Center Feb 17.  See the Guidance High School page for a link to the application.

 

*Counselors will begin scheduling current sophomores (rising juniors) on Tuesday, January 30. Please sign up for an appointment via the SignUp Genius link that was emailed or that is on the Guidance webpage. Please do not wait to be called for your appointment, come to the Guidance office just before your scheduled time.

 

*The Gardening Club will meet in the auditorium today.

 

*The Lady Tigers lost to Marshall County 48-37. Ashley Dyer led the way with 13 points. They will play at Community on Thursday and then play their final regular season home game against Community on Friday.

 

*The Cake Decorating Club will NOT meet today. Look to the web site next week for details about after-school decorating on Tuesday, February 13.

 

*Congratulations once again to our Tiger Chess Team.

As the result of their performances at the Regional Chess Championships on Saturday Eric Ramsay and Chandler McCook have qualified for the Individual State Finals with Joshua Stueckle is the 1st alternate at State.

 

*Current sophomores and juniors, applications for next year's writing lab are due by next Friday, the 9th. Remember that these include both the teacher recommendation and student cover letter. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Esberger in room 337.

 

* Anyone volunteering at the swap meet this weekend with the car club, please meet TODAY during club time at Ms. Culp's room.

 

*This Thursday at 7:20 a.m in Dr. Edge’s room, 206, Turning Point USA will be hosting Tennessee State Director of Convention of States, Norman Bobo. The Convention of States Project is a national effort to call a convention under Article V on the United States Constitution. Donuts and educational materials will be provided.
