*The Central Magnet Men's basketball team defeated the Community Vikings on Friday night by the score of 41-39. Central was led in scoring by Nick Hamlett with 15 points, Will Carver with 9 points and Steph Laird with 7 points.
The Tigers will travel to Giles County on Tuesday to take on the Bobcats in their next to last regular season game.

*Middle School softball practice is cancelled for today. We will practice in the gym Tuesday.
*Congratulations to the middle school swim team for winning 3rd place in the Rutherford County Championship meet this past Saturday. The girls' team won 2nd place overall and the boys' team took 3rd place overall. Lots of swimmers dropped time and swam some "personal bests" in their events. Congratulations specifically to the following swimmers: Jean Drugmand for winning 1st place in the 200 IM and 3rd place in the 400 freestyle; Aubrey Penney for winning 1st place in the 50 freestyle; Caden Sweetman for winning 1st place in the 50 freestyle and 1st place in the 100 backstroke; Douglas Thibodeaux for winning 2nd place in the 100 freestyle; and Taylor Walker for winning 2nd place in the 100 backstroke. It was a great meet to end the middle school team's season!

These students will compete for the 6th grade level championship on February 16th during B lunch in Mrs. Stanley's classroom.
*Registration for the 2018 AP exams will begin February 2nd and end March 16, 2018. Late payments will not be accepted due to ordering deadlines. The cost of each exam is $94. Students must submit the registration form and enter their information on the computer in the attendance office when they pay.
*TN Girls State and Boys State information is available in Guidance for current Juniors who have at least a 3.75 GPA. Please pick up information in Guidance if you are interested in attending.
