*The list of students who have had Principal's List or Honor Roll for the first 3 quarters is posted outside the auditorium.  If you think you should be on this list, please check the list this week to make sure that you are and that your name is spelled correctly.  Let Mrs. Hines know by Friday if there are any problems. 

 

*Attention Seniors: Your caps and gowns will be distributed in the auditorium today during 1st period. You will take Individual and Group Cap and Gown pictures and then take your group picture with your college t-shirts. 

 

*There will be a Junior Night/Dual Enrollment meeting coming up on April 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. See your counselor with questions.

 

*All Youth In Government members interested in attending the Youth In Government Conference in May, see Mr. Ruess today to receive your form for attendance.  Also, there will be a meeting for all Youth In Government students after school Wednesday April 4th in room 226.  Remember, please see Mr. Ruess today.

 

*The Archery teams participated in the State Tournament over the break with the HS team placing 3rd, just 3 points behind Riverdale HS and 42 points behind White Co. HS and the MS team placing 2nd, just 3 points behind Stewarts Creek MS.  Individually, Nathan Blunkall placed 5th in the MS Male Division, Mikayla Harris tied for 2nd in the MS Female Division, Alison Blanton placed 4th in the HS Female Division and Connor Smathers placed 1st in the HS Male Division.  Connor was also the Overall State Champion with a score of 293/300.  This is the 4th year in a row that CMS archers have won the Overall State Champion.  Both teams have qualified to attend the National Championship Tournament in Louisville, KY in May.

 

*The Tigers went 5-1 over Spring Break including going 2-0 to start District 12 AA action. They also finished 3-1 in the Chattanooga Central Invitational. Some highlights from the week. Brady Sengkhounmany went 2-0 on the week and allowed 1 run in 7 2/3 innings pitched. Patrick Norman hit 2 home runs on the week and threw a complete game striking out 11 batters. CJ Campbell went 11 for 21 with 3 home runs and 11 rbi for the week. Jacob Upshaw was 12 for 22 with 3 home runs and 10 rbi for the week including a walk off single. He also picked up the win on the mound versus Signal Mountain. Michael Polly was 7 for 13 including a home run and 9 rbi. Porter Hendrixson had a big day on Saturday going 4 for 5 on the day.
