*April 28 is the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis and it will be held at Central Magnet School.  They are in need of volunteer groups.  Set up is at 7:30 and they will be finished at noon.  If you have a club or group that would like to participate, please see Mrs. Huffman for details.

 

 

* The Secret Garden Party, a fundraiser benefitting The Discovery Center of Murfreesboro, needs help with volunteers.

10:00-1:00   6 volunteers needed

 

*(4 to help with the backyard/tables, 2 to help with VIP in the front)

12:00-2:00   4 volunteers

 

*needed to help with flowers, lawn games

2:00-4:00      2 volunteers

 

*to help with finishing touches/small details

10:00-11:00   4 volunteers

 

*to help with clean up

*this excludes auction volunteers

 

*Attention junior members of National Honor Society:

Candidate virtual speeches should be emailed to Mr. Nichols by Friday, April 13. In your speech, tell us about your qualifications and why you are seeking the office.  Speeches should not exceed 350 words.  See Mr. Nichols or Mr. Windham if you have any questions.

 

*All students going to MTSU today for the math contest need to meet in college corner after announcements.

 

*Students who are going to the Youth in Government Conference need to submit their money to Mr. Ruess today.

 

*Any student interested in playing football next year with Eagleville, please come to an information meeting on Thursday in the gym during club time.

 

*The Lady Tigers dropped 2 games to DeKalb last night. 1-0 and 6-1. They will take on district opponent Forrest tonight at home at 5:30.

*The high school men's soccer team travels to Lawrenceburg to take on Lawrence Co. at 6pm tonight.

 

*The Central boy’s tennis team defeated Franklin High School yesterday by a match score of 8-2.  Nathan Zou extended his season-long winning streak by winning his singles match 8-0 and doubles 8-4.  Other boys who won their matches were Fant Smith, Suren Shah, and Russell Drowota.  Abhi Manda and Davis Hale also easily won their doubles match 8-1.  The girls team lost a hard-fought match to Franklin HS but not before Megan Scott and Sally Smith scored wins 8-4 and 8-5 respectively.  Both Central Magnet Tennis teams will be back in action today versus Blackman HS.  Go Tigers!

 

*Your Tiger baseball team beat Forrest 6 to 5. CJ Campbell added his 6th HR of the year. Porter Hendrixson and Jack Smith had 2 hits each. Patrick Norman got the Win on the mound and Brady Sengkhounmany got the save. Tigers travel to Forrest Tues for a 5:00 start.

 

*The Middle School Varsity boy’s soccer team will play today at Oakland.  This will be at the Oakland High School football field.  Game time is 4:30.
