*April 28 is the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis and it will be held at Central Magnet School.  They are in need of volunteer groups.  Set up is at 7:30 and they will be finished at noon.  If you have a club or group that would like to participate, please see Mrs. Huffman for details.

 

* The Secret Garden Party, a fundraiser benefitting The Discovery Center of Murfreesboro, needs help with volunteers.

*Attention junior members of National Honor Society:

Candidate virtual speeches should be emailed to Mr. Nichols by Friday, April 13. In your speech, tell us about your qualifications and why you are seeking the office.  Speeches should not exceed 350 words.  See Mr. Nichols or Mr. Windham if you have any questions.

 

*Any student interested in playing football next year with Eagleville, please come to an information meeting on today in the gym during club time.

 

*The Lady Tigers softball team will be traveling to Marshall Co for a district game today.

*The Central Magnet boy’s tennis team defeated Ensworth high school yesterday with a gutsy match win by a score of 5-4.  Nathan Zou clinched the match storming back after being down 4-7 and eventually winning 9-7.  Tom Smith won 8-2 and Alex Hand prevailed 8-5 in his match.  Anand Gowda and Suren Shah additionally won their doubles contest 8-4.   Both boys and girl’s teams hope to clinch district titles today against Siegel High School.  Go Tigers!

 

*The Central Magnet men's high school soccer team defeated Nolensville tonight 3-0.  They move to 4-0 in district play.  Ethan Penny opened the scoring off a penalty kick that Jarod Ball had drawn.  Shortly before half Collin Webber scored off an assist by Jared Ball.  The final goal was from no other than Jarod Ball off a pass from Jakada Jack.

The team host the first ever Battle of the Magnets soccer tournament this weekend at Richard Siegel Park.  The first match is Friday night at 7:30 against CSAS.

 

*The Middle School Boys soccer team plays here today against Siegel.  The game time is 4:15.   This is also 8th Grade recognition night; all CMS students get in free.  Come and support the Tigers.
