8th Graders

Friday during B lunch is the Last day to buy formal tickets. Tickets are $35.00. Tickets will not be sold after Friday and will not be sold at the formal.

*Juniors-please remember to return your MTSU Library field trip permission form to the library by this Friday, April 27th. 

 

*The state ACT scores that juniors took are in. Students may pick those up during their lunch time or later this afternoon from Guidance.

 

*All new members of Science National Honor Society for the 2018-2019 school year need to attend a short meeting on Monday, April 30th during C lunch in room 131.

All students who have registered to take an AP exam must attend the preadministration session in the cafeteria with the following schedule:

Monday April 30th at 8:00 Seniors

                                       9:50 Juniors

Wednesday May 2nd at 8:00 Sophomores

                                           9:50 Freshman

Please leave belongings in class and report to the cafeteria at the assigned time.

 

*Any senior who is in the jazz band should come to the band room today during their fifth period Study break for a quick meeting. If you’re unavailable, please stop by and see the band directors sometime today.

 

*MS Tigers improved to 4 and 6 in conference play and 6 and 8 overall with a 16 to 4 victory over Rocky Fork middle yesterday.

Jacob Williams, Marcus Collins, and Adam Apigian combined pitching giving up 1 hit and striking out 8

Jake Hogue lead the Tigers in hitting going 3 for 3 with one walk and driving in 2 runs.

Marcus Collins had a hit and 2 rbi, Hayden Griggs 1 hit and 2 rbi, Tate Warren had 1 hit and 2 rbi and McClain Martin had a hit walked twice and scored 2 runs.

 

*The Central Magnet boy’s tennis team dominated Hendersonville HS yesterday by winning the match by a score of 8-1.  This moves their overall record to 13-2 on the year.  Players posting convincing wins were Nathan Zou 6-0 6-0, Alex Hand 6-0 6-2, and Suren Shah 6-0 6-3. 

Likewise, the Central girl’s tennis team defeated Hendersonville 8-1 in an equally impressive fashion.  Their record on the season is now 11-4.  Tigers with excellent victories included Mamie Sevier 6-3 6-3, Sally Smith 6-3 6-3, and Megan Scott 6-3 6-1. 

The Tiger tennis teams are eagerly anticipating district play which cranks up next week.

 

*The Middle School boys’ soccer team finished the season in a tough battle at Stewarts Creek, but lost 2 to 0.  Will Palmer had 10 saves.  The team finished the season with an overall record of 8 wins and 5 losses. Congratulations to the team for a great season.

 

*If the weather allows the high school men's soccer team will play Oakland high school tonight at Richard Siegel Park.  JV kicks off at 5pm and Varsity will follow at 7 PM
