*Any senior who has not completed a final transcript form MUST do that this week and drop off to Guidance. Any junior or senior who would took dual enrollment this year and would like to pick up his/her transcript may do that in Guidance.

 

*Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of The Fantasticks for all of their awards and honors from the Spotlight Awards in Nashville on Saturday Night.  Elisha McFarlin and Sevon Askew were both chosen as a part of the 2018 All Star Cast.  Karis Knierim and Sandra Mansour were both chosen as a part of the 2018 All Star Crew.  And Congratulations to Sevon Askew for winning the 2018 Best Actor award.  He will go to New York this summer to compete nationally at the Jimmy Awards in June. 

 

*Rock Springs Middle will have a spring festival on the 18th.  No one should park, at the school, on that day.

 

*Girls interested in the dance team: there will be a dance clinic on Friday, May 18 and tryouts are Monday, May 21. Both events start at 3:15. See the dance packet on the CMS sports page or Cindy Davis in room 240 for more information.

 

*Congratulations to the following members of the high school track and field team for their performances in Saturday's sectional track meet.

Taylor Cuneo placed first in the 1600 meter run

Camille Smith placed third in the 800-meter run

The girls 4x800 meter relay team also placed third. The girls on the relay team were Morgan Ouellette, Kerrigan Walls, Olivia Guse, and Anna Waldecker.

All of these runners will be competing at the track and field state championship at MTSU on May 24 beginning at 3:00

 

*Football practice is canceled for the rest of the week at Eagleville.

 

*Congratulations to Macy and Molly Speight who qualified for the girl’s state tennis tournament by winning the region doubles championship.  After a 6-1, 6-0 win and 6-3, 6-2 win at the region, they will compete next week in the state doubles tournament. 

Congratulations is also in order for Tom Smith and Fant Smith who finished as region runner-up in boy’s doubles.  Jessie and Natacha Thepsouvan also finished their successful doubles season as region runner-up in the girl’s tournament.

Both girls' and boys' teams will be in action Thursday in sectional competition.  Go Tigers!

 

*Central Magnet Men's Soccer advances to the Region Championship for the 5th straight year.  Last night they defeated Sycamore 3-0.  Jakada Jack had a brace and Ethan Penny had a Man of the Match performance and the final tally on goal.  Andres Zaragoza and Corey Dobson had assists, while Collin Webber drew a Penalty kick.

The defense posted its 14th shut-out of the season. There was excellent play from Elijah Barritt, Sam Orput, Walker Robison, Corey Dobson, Josh Stout, and Russell Harper to add another shutout to the resume.

The team will play Fairview in the Region Championship later this week.
