*The final sixth-grade summer reading lunch time book talk will be Tuck Everlasting today

*Students-

It is time to start registration for the PSAT.  Registration will begin Monday, August 27 and will continue until September 7 in the attendance office.  The cost is $16 and is open to all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.  You may pay with cash or check made to CMS.  We will also take card payments but a processing fee will be added.  If you have questions about the PSAT and the importance of this test, please see your guidance counselor or Mr. Nichols.  Don't forget to pick up your practice booklet when you register!

*Applications for the National Spanish Honor Society have been posted in Ms. Pinson's room! If you are a level 3 student or higher and are interested in this community service and outreach Honor Society - come by and grab an application. Both OLD and NEW members must get an application. They will be turned in, along with dues during the first meeting on B rotation on Sept 6th.

TUTORING for Spanish is now available for ALL levels through the CMS Writing Lab. See your Spanish teacher on how to sign up!

*For those interested in joining Senior BETA club this year, your time is running out! Application packets are now available on the Senior BETA web page.  Please submit your BETA club application, transcripts, teacher recommendations, and essay in a manila envelope to Ms. Frazer in room 104 by Friday, August 24, 2018. No late submissions will be accepted. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Frazer or Mr. Boynton.

*Applications are available for the 4th Annual MTSU Entrepreneurship Fair which will be held on November 14, 2018.

Students will get a chance to showcase their business concept and present to industry judges.  Stop by Room 210 for the application.

*2018-2019 DECA applications are available in Room 210.

*There will be a meeting on Tuesday afternoon August 28th directly after school in Room 225 for anyone interested in the clay target team.  See Mr. Nabors for more information.

*The Youth Council at The Discovery Center is looking for teens wanting to make a positive impact in their community and gain critical thinking skills to expand their education.  If you are interested in participating in this service opportunity, join us for an open house on Monday, September 17th, at 5:30pm at The Discovery Center.

*High school volleyball lost a hard-fought game against Lawrence County last night despite strong service and defense. They play again this weekend in the Mid Tennessee Classic before facing off with Tullahoma at home on Monday.

*The Lady Tigers High School soccer team defeated Marshall Co. 9-0 last night.  Ella Chesney led the way with a hattrick.  The remaining goals came from Jenny Peters, Caroline Hall, Megan Delaney, Brooke Duggan, Sarah Kate Spielman, and Zoe London.

*Middle school volleyball played hard but lost to Oakland Middle in 2.
