*If you joined the birthday book club this year, please stop by the library anytime during the day to choose your book!

*Students-

It is time to start registration for the PSAT.  Registration will begin Monday, August 27 and will continue until September 7 in the attendance office.  The cost is $16 and is open to all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.  You may pay with cash or check made to CMS.  We will also take card payments but a processing fee will be added.  If you have questions about the PSAT and the importance of this test, please see your guidance counselor or Mr. Nichols. Don't forget to pick up your practice booklet when you register!

*Applications are available for the 4th Annual MTSU Entrepreneurship Fair which will be held on November 14, 2018.

Students will get a chance to showcase their business concept and present to industry judges.  Stop by Room 210 for the application.

*2018-2019 DECA applications are available in Room 210.

*There will be a meeting this afternoon directly after school in Room 225 for anyone interested in the clay target team.  See Mr. Nabors for more information.

*The Mu Alpha Theta 2018-2019 membership application is on the website. The first club meeting is B rotation next week. 

*HOSA’s first blood drive will be August 30th, from 7:30 to 1:00 in the gym.  Go to our CMS homepage, Mrs. Gates webpage or HOSA’s webpage for the link to sign up. 

If you’re 16 years of age, see Mrs. Gates for a parent permission form.

Last year’s blood drive brought in $2500 in scholarship money for our seniors!

*The Youth Council at The Discovery Center is looking for teens wanting to make a positive impact in their community and gain critical thinking skills to expand their education.  If you are interested in participating in this service opportunity, join us for an open house on Monday, September 17th, at 5:30pm at The Discovery Center.

*The Middle School Girls soccer team will place here today against Whitworth Buchanan. Game time is 4:30. Come out and support your lady tigers.

*The High school girls’ soccer team defeated Lawrence Co. 4-0 last night.  Hannah Tritschler led the scoring with two goals while Ella Chesney and Gabby Robinson each had a goal.  Brooke Dugan created two goals, and Gabby Robinson and Megan Delaney each had an assist. Avery Pogue had two saves in goal.

*The middle school volleyball team beat Rocky Fork last night.
