*Attention seniors, are you interested in joining the nursing profession or a particular trade?  What about leadership?  Do you consider yourself to be a leader?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should apply to at least one of the Elks scholarships.  Visit Coach Nichols' website for details on all three scholarships.  See him if you have any questions.  

 

*The PEO STAR Scholarship is a non-renewable $2,500 award for graduating high school women which must be used in the academic year following graduation.  Scholarship winners must exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.  See Coach Nichols this week if you are interested.  There is a signup sheet on his door.

 

* The library will be closed this Friday for book fair setup. Next week during book fair checkout will not be available. Please plan accordingly and if you have books that are due next week or need to check out new books, please take care of renewing/checking out by this Thursday. This announcement is applicable to both middle and high school students.

 

*Students who park and ride the bus from Rock Springs Middle School, this Friday, September 21st, please park in the front of the school due to the school having their Fall Festival in the back-parking lot.

 

*Rutherford County Online class registration for quarter 2 begins September 17th.  See the county website for details.

 

* Washington University (in St. Louis) will visit College Corner this week on FRIDAY from 12:30-1:30. (Note different day than usual). Stop by to learn more.

 

* Barfield Elementary School will be holding its annual book fair on Friday, October 12th from 4-8:00pm. If interested, contact Rae Ellyn Kelley by sending an email to [email protected]. Please title interest emails "Book Fair Volunteers."

 

*On Friday September 21st HP Campus School is having their annual Fall Festival and they need student volunteers for the games and activities during the festival. Sign-up in Mrs. Harrison's room (348) if you would like to be contacted about volunteering.

 

*The Middle School Girls Varsity soccer team defeated Blackman 4 to 2.  Reily Gusman scored her 5th Hat Trick in as many games and Maria Kime score a goal.  Maria Kime had 2 assists and Sydney Cuneo had one.  Mikayla Harris had 2 saves.  The JV team lost 1 to 0 Ashley Davis and Sophia Stringfield ech had one save.  The next game is Thursday against Rocky Fork at Smyrna High School.  Game time is 4:30 with the JV game immediately after.

 

*High school women’s soccer team travelled to Spring Hill where they won 3-1. Two goals were scored by Ella Chesney and 1 from Ashleigh Clark. Hannah Tristchler, Brooke Dugan, and Ashleigh Clark all had an assist. Avery Pogue has 11 saves! The next high school women’s soccer game is a home game Thursday at 5:00 against Nolensville.
