*Any student who is interested in applying to Governor’s School but was unable to make the meeting on Thursday, please see your counselor.

 

*College Corner will host a great line up on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Lipscomb University, MTSU, Austin Peay, and Air Force ROTC will be there, so stop by and pick up some information!

 

*Anyone looking for service hours!!!!  The American Heart Association is still in need of volunteers for Saturday's heart walk.  The event will take place THIS SATURDAY at MURFREESBORO MEDICAL CLINIC.  If you are interested, you can see Mrs. Gates, or you can also contact Hannah Grogan directly at [email protected].  That contact information is also on Mr. Nichols' webpage.

*Attention seniors, are you interested in joining the nursing profession or a particular trade?  What about leadership?  Do you consider yourself to be a leader?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should apply to at least one of the Elks scholarships.  Visit Coach Nichols' website for details on all three scholarships.  See him if you have any questions.  

 

*The PEO STAR Scholarship is a non-renewable $2,500 award for graduating high school women which must be used in the academic year following graduation.  Scholarship winners must exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.  See Coach Nichols this week if you are interested.  There is a signup sheet on his door.

 

*Please remember that the Library will be closed today for book fair setup.

 

* Washington University (in St. Louis) will visit College Corner today from 12:30-1:30. Stop by to learn more.

 

*Students who are in a Band, Orchestra or Choir class are eligible to audition for the Madrigal Singers a Capella group.  Auditions will take place the day before and after fall break.  Signups and audition forms are outside the choir room.  See Mr. Brenner if you have any questions.

 

*Attention Seniors:

The deadline for the 13th annual AES Scholarship is October 6, 2018.

*Don't forget to show your CMS pride and order your window stickers from a softball player. There are 15 selections to choose from.  Cost is $7.  They will arrive next week.

 

*The Middle School Girls Varsity soccer team ended the regular season by defeating Rocky Fork 5 to 2.  Reily Gusman and Sara Claire Lusk each scored 2 goals while Maria Kime scored one.  Lila Mae Skidmore had 3 assists while Sara Claire Lusk had 1.  Mikayla Harris had 4 saves.  The Lady Tigers finished the regular season with 9 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie in the division and 10 wins 1 loss and 2 ties overall.  The next game will be in the playoffs on Tuesday at Stewarts Creek.

 

*Please announce that the middle school volleyball team defeated Thurman Francis last night in 2 sets!

 

*Middle school tennis boys and girls swept Oakland 5 to 0 yesterday. Only 2 games Remain before the championships October 15th and 16th. Come out and support your Tigers tennis
