*The Computer Programming Club will hold its first meeting this Friday, October 12, in Lab 128, from 3:00-4:15pm. Please make sure you have arranged transportation home if you choose to attend.
*Central sidekicks, formerly associated with best buddies, will be meeting A rotation in room 206.
*PSAT is Wednesday. Due to testing, students will not be able to get to lockers from Ms. Pigg’s room down to high school entrance downstairs and from Ms. Tipton’s room to Ms. Baty’s room upstairs. Testing should finish by C lunch. Students get everything you will need from your locker before 8 am.
*Don't forget that your deposit should be turned in to Ms. Fluharty in room 230. Thursday is the second turn-in day if you missed the REMIND message and were unable to turn it in today.
Also, Jr. Beta will have a change of location for our meeting during club time on Thursday.

*Service Opportunities*
-Parks and Recreation will have an event called the Barfield Bash on October 19th & 20th. They need volunteers starting at 4pm on both days. Please contact Meagan Bass at [email protected], for further questions.
-The Tennessee State Veterans Home is having the Harvest Festival, October 25th, from 5-7pm, and Ms. Jill Wright is needing some assistants to help with the festival while earning community service hours. Please contact Ms. Wright at [email protected] if you are interested.
- If you are interested in volunteering and earning service hours, The Alzheimer’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is November 10th. It will take place at the Dean Hayes Soccer and Track Stadium on the MTSU campus and will begin at 8:00am. You may log up to 8 hours of service since the set up will begin at 6:00am. *The high school girls’ soccer team's season ended over the break with a heartbreaking loss to Tullahoma. The match ended 2-1 as Tullahoma scored in the last 40 seconds. Ella Chesney had the goal and Hannah Tritschler had the assist. Avery Pogue finished with 13 saves in goal.
*Central High School and Middle School Baseball teams are hosting a Bowling Scramble on Saturday, October 27 at Lanes Trains and Automobiles. We will have 9:00 am and 10:30 am time slots available. The cost to bowl is $25 and each team will consist of 6 players. We will have prizes for best team name, best team shirts, highest score and of course lowest score. Please put together a team and come out and have some fun. We will have sign-up tables, near the cafeteria, the next three Fridays. Please sign your team up and let’s raise some money to support our team.
