As part of Geography Awareness Week, you have the chance to qualify for the CMS National Geographic Bee. Tomorrow, during your 5th period study hall time, go to Coach Burns' webpage and click on the link at the top for the Qualifying Quiz. The best 30 scores will compete in the Preliminary Round on November 29, and the Final Round will be held in January. *Attention sophomores:
We will be having ACT boot camp sessions for you on Thursday and Friday this week, in which you will learn all things ACT. This is a very important opportunity and will benefit you tremendously. All sophomores must attend one of the three sessions. The Thursday session is completely full so if you have not chosen one yet, you must choose either the morning or the afternoon session for Friday. The link is on Coach Nichols' website or you can ask your English teacher about it. If you fail to sign up, you will be placed in a session based on availability.
Community Service Opportunity This Weekend
**On Saturday, November 17th, the Walter Hill Elementary PTO is having a vendor fair from 8am -3pm. Duties will include setting up, cleaning up, and helping to make sure things are running smoothly. If you are interested, email them at [email protected] with your name and when you can volunteer.
