*If you auditioned for the Homecoming Variety Show, stop by and see Mrs. Hines this week.

 

*A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Smoke detectors should be located on every floor of your home and near all places that you and your family sleep.  Smoke detector batteries should be changed on a regular basis.

 

*Attention Seniors:

The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro is now accepting applications for their 2019 Youth of the Year Scholarship.  It involves an essay and entry form. The local scholarship is worth $500, the state is worth $1,000, and the national level is a $10,000 award.  Sign up on Coach Nichols' door if you would like details.

 

*The deadline to drop a class is Wednesday, Jan. 16. See Guidance for the necessary form. If you are a junior or senior interested in taking the Dual Enrollment Economics class, please see your counselor today!

 

*Today is the LAST DAY to sign up for the SE-YA Book Festival on Friday, March 8.

Invitational tournament on February 2 need to stop by Dr. Thomas's Room (120) today after school for a very brief meeting."

 

*The High School Swim Team had a great meet against Stewart’s Creek last night with our team beating boys, girls and combined.

Roman Pate qualified for Regionals in the 100 back and Anna Weis and Kailey Orr each qualified for State in a new event.

Their next meet will be Saturday, January 19th at the Doris Coady Rutherford
County High School Invitational being held at LaVergne High School.

 

*The middle school girls’ basketball team defeated Smyrna 40-22

Addison Melton scored 17 and Carly Phillips added 3 threes for a total of 9 points!
