*Auditions for the next year’s Madrigal Singers class will March 14 and 15 after school in the choir room. Rising sophomores through seniors with choral experience are eligible to audition for this advanced a cappella choir. Sign up for a ten-minute slot outside of Mr. Brenner’s room and be sure to grab an audition packet as well.

 

*Any 6th grader that was absent Monday must come to Mrs. Stanley's room during B lunch today to make up their STEMS quiz.

Also remember that the 6th grade level spelling bee finals are this Friday, February 8th during B lunch in Mrs. Stanley's room.

 

*National Spanish Honor Society members: We will have a meeting THIS Thursday during club time. Lots of volunteer opportunities for the semester, as well as an update on total service hours. Seniors will also be given info for graduation cords. Woohoo!

 

*Attention Current Sophomores (Rising Juniors):

We will begin registering your grade level Tuesday, February 5 until Tuesday, February 12. Please sign up under your counselor’s Sign Up Genius link which can be found on the Guidance webpage. Please do not wait to be called. Come to guidance a few minutes before your scheduled time with your completed course request worksheet. See your counselor if you have questions.

 

*The Honors College at MTSU will host an open house on Monday, February 18, 2019 (Presidents’ Day). Registration is now open at www.mtsu.edu/rsvp.

 

*Sophomores and Juniors

Friday is the last day to turn in applications for next year's writing lab. Please make sure that Mrs. Esberger receives both your cover letter and recommendation.

 

*The Central Magnet men's basketball team picked up another district win last night as they defeated Giles County by the score of 52-39.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Will Carver with 16 points, Jayden Hernandez with 9 points and Jack Smith, Micah Harris, and Steph Laird with 6 points each.

The Tigers will be in action Friday at home to close out the regular season against Forrest. 

 

*Kathryn Hays scored 12 points, Kaitlin Polly added 10 & senior Natalie Anderson added 9 as the Lady Tigers beat Giles County 41-40 on Senior Night! Next up: the final home game of the year against Forrest on Friday night.
