High School
High School Counselors provide programs and services to help the student achieve success in school. During these adolescent years, students are evaluating their strengths, skills, and abilities. The following services are provided to our students through Advisory group sessions, high school courses and individual counseling meetings:
• Organizational, study and test-taking skills
• Post-secondary planning and application process
• Career planning and goal setting
• Education in understanding self and others
• Coping strategies
• Peer relationships and effective social skills
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution
and study skills
• Career awareness and the world of work
• Academic plans
• Career plans
• Problem solving
• Understanding own strengths and weaknesses
Student in AP Gov’t, AP Micro or AP Macro this semester will need to order the semester 2 AP exams if they want to take the test. We will begin collecting payments January 20 and the deadline to pay is March 2, 2026. There are two ways to pay for the exam. Students can pay by cash or check (payable to CMS) in the attendance office for $99 a test and complete the attached form.
