MATHCOUNTS Middle School Math Competition
MATHCOUNTS is a national organization that offers math competitions, clubs, and resources for students in grades 6-8. To compete, students must pay the registration dues of $40 to Mr. Kinney by October 31. The school-level competition is held during school in December. CMS students who qualify are invited to compete in the Nashville Chapter competition in February. Students who do not qualify for the Nashville Chapter competition will be refunded their registration dues. Students may also qualify for state and national competitions.
Dr. Ye from MTSU visits most Fridays during 7th period Tiger Time to coach the MATHCOUNTS team. All students are invited to come, even if they do not plan to compete in MATHCOUNTS.
Students, please fill out an online Flex Pass through Clever for the lunch that you plan to attend.
