What is a Podcast?

A podcast is a series of digital audio or video files that are available for download or streaming. Podcasts cover a wide range of topics and can be listened to on-demand.

Podcasts are typically available as a series of prerecorded talk-radio show episodes that users can listen to on demand from a mobile device. Podcasters often publish episodes on a regular schedule. There is no prescribed format, length or style for a podcast.
