Welcome

The Umoja Project is a non-501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. It’s purpose is to be a community haven for black youth to learn about mental health and a medium through which these youth can obtain mental health services. The community aspect of The Umoja Project is focal. “Umoja” is a Kiswahili word meaning “unity”. In our nonprofit organization and chapters at schools, we aim to use the Umoja Project to unite the black youth community and promote social togetherness to
endure through mental struggles.

 

Although the focus is on black youth, all are welcome!
