Name of Club: Costuming Club

 

Description: Costuming Club is a club where students collaborate on the idea-making, concept-drawing, patterning, and creation of Broadway-Esque costumes seen on and off-stage. Students will learn how to hand-sew and sew with a machine, while also using other techniques for accessories such as paper mâché or beading. This will be mostly focused on the costumes of Broadway and West-End performances; however, students are allowed to choose a different topic based on the prompt.

Goals:

-Complete a full costume by the end of the year

-Learn how to pattern make, sketch, and sew

-Learn how to board characters

-Improve group work ethics
