WELCOME to the CMS Songwriting Club!

...AKA Songwriting and Discussion Club

 

We are super happy to have you here. Our goal with this club is to talk about music— in general. Everything music, BUT with a particular emphasis on the art that is Songwriting (hence the club’s name). During our in-school meetings, we’ll discuss popular/not-so-popular musical artists and how their songs impacted people everywhere. We will go deeper in figuring out the lyrical elements of YOUR musical tastes and how to recreate them in your own original style!! All the songwriting-esque stuff.

This club is brand new to CMS. There may have been a songwriting club in the past, but it has nothing to do with our current one here. We’re totally new. Still figuring stuff out! With that being said, we are 100% welcome to take up any suggestions for activities, topics of discussion, etc… Just let us know in the form I’ll link below!

You are encouraged to meet with us NO MATTER your songwriting experience. Whether you are fully self-published on Bandcamp or have never even touched an instrument, YOU are welcome here! We want to provide a safe and cool space for people to share their musical passion in an non-judgemental and positive manner. You can expect a teams page or a link to past/future presentations here in the near future. With all that being said, we are so excited to have you here!

P.S.- I’ll try my best to bring snacks to each in-school meeting!! :-)
