CMS Senior BETA Club
BETA is a community service honor society devoted to promoting the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. We will attend state conventions where our incredibly talented students will compete in academic and creative competitions.

Convention Information

How much does it cost:
$250 to attend Convention, $35 to just take the test and not go.
(You will also need money for Lunch/Dinner/extra)
When:
November 21st at 3:30pm - November 23rd by Noon
Where:
Opryland Hotel, Nashville
Buses will be provided to get students there, but students need to find transportation when Convention is over.
Students need to be picked up by Noon at the Delta Portico.
If you want to make payments (or if you are not going, but competing):
$100 (or $35) is due by October 25th
Money and Permission forms needs to be turned in NO LATER THAN November 8th.

Service Points Requirements
Beta members, in order to receive their Beta cord for graduation, must fulfill the following service expectations:
- Earn 3 points per semester.
- Only 1 point per semester can be a donation in a Beta-sponsored drive.
- Member may complete personal service projects and/or group service projects.
Service Log Information
For ALL service projects and donations, the member MUST complete the form located in Mrs. SK's room.
All points MUST BE unique to Beta (e.g. no double-dipping with other clubs or required CMS service hours).
Service Opportunities
Donation:
Nourish Food Bank - Bringing 10 cans = 1 point
There is also an opportunity to work at the Food Bank for points.
Please bring your donations to Mrs. SK's, Given's, or Schroeder's Room by the end of October. 1 donation point per donation, 1 donation point per semester
