Neuroscience Club

The focus will be on applying biological principles to the study of behavior in humans and animals (Behavioral neuroscience – commonly referred to as biopsychology )– and the brain mechanisms that underpin behavior. The goal of the club is to inspire excitement about and increase knowledge of neuroscience.

This club is open to high school students enrolled in Neuroscience or AP Psychology that are interested in the Neuroscience field.

Brain & Language Lab

MTSU's Brain & Language Laboratory includes a 128-channel electroencephalogram (EEG) recording system as well as a Geodesic Photogrammetry System (EGI) that allows accurate an accurate estimation of the brain electrical sources.

The Brain Observatory

In one project, reported in an article in MIT Technology Review, a team of neuroscientists and engineers are working to create a detailed map of the rat's brain and use the new knowledge to build the next generation of AI that works like the brain.
