TSA

TSA - In the upcoming 2017-18 school year, the Central Engineering Department and extracurricular programs will be moving competitions from BEST Robotics to Technology Student Association. TSA is an organization that will encompass many of the areas of BEST Robotics in a format that allows more individuals to compete. It is a nationally recognized organization that allows engineering students the opportunity to showcase their skills in competition. There are local, state, and national events. Please go to Tennessee TSA State website at http://www.tntsa.org/ for more information. The competitive events are here.

TSA events change each year so we will be discussing the competition more in depth as we get ready to start the new school year. The TSA competitions will be a part of the engineering curriculum at Central. It is expected that students join TSA as a part of the engineering program at CMS and that they will participate in TSA activities throughout the year. This includes a regional competition during the school day and the state competition if they qualify. This year's regional is held in Smyrna, TN and the state competition is held in Chattanooga, TN.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR THE PERMISSION FORM FOR THE STATE COMPETITION.

Membership dues for TSA are $25 per year.

Take a look at the competitions below to get a better idea of what is involved.

Some of the competitions will ask you to look at the National TSA Website to get this year's theme.
