Mid-State Information

Mid-state is an event to reward exceptional young musicians.

Students who decide to audition for Mid-State undertake a extraordinary challenge to prove the progress of their musical skill. Students who register with their band director to audition will be coached in preparation for their audition. Students who audition will be given information to share with their families concerning the audition date, process, etc, as well as how to prepare for their audition.

Mid-State is the MAIN event for music students in Tennessee to add to their resume (and later college application) the success they have experienced due to their commitment to excellence in music. Historically, many music scholarships are given to Students who are selected to the mid-state band (based on being one of the top 10-20% auditions).
