Team practices are a very important part of being a member of the team. This is not the time to schedule dental and other appointments. If you are going to miss practice, let Coaches Angel or Smith know.
If you are participating in multiple sports we will try to coordinate with you. Do know you are expected to complete every task at practice whether or not you play multiple sports.

Rules
Middle School Tennis is sanctioned by the TSSAA as well as by Rutherford County Schools following guidelines set by USTA, (United States Tennis Association). This said, there is some flexibility allowing for the lack of experience by many of the players. The only match play coaches for Central Magnet are Coach Smith and Coach Angel. Spectators are not to communicate scores or tennis strategy to players, or comment on line calls by their opponents. If there is a recurring theme of bad calls, contact a coach. Please don't make this so intense for your players that they forget to have fun!
ATTENTION!!!TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD TUESDAY AUGUST 8TH 5:30PM - 7:30pm ON COURTS 1-4 AT ADAMS TENNIS COMPLEX. THIS IS A CHANGE!!!
A parent meeting will be held at the first tryout.
Second day of tryouts will be August 9th 4-6:00pm
Start times for matches and practices vary and can start as early as 3:30 or as late as 5:30pm.
You MUST have ALL forms completed in FINAL FORMS in order for you to participate in tryouts. 100%. The physical / medical eligibility form MUST BE signed by a doctor and dated after April 15 2023. Feel free to bring hard copy medical to tryouts, but if FinalForms is not complete, your player cannot try out!
********YOU MUST HAVE A MEDICAL ELIGIBILTY / CLEARANCE FORM THAT HAS BEEN SIGNED BY A PHYSICIAN AND DATED AFTER APRIL 15 2023 TO TRY OUT.
Parents and players: Please read expectations to the right before trying out.
Players-please come dressed appropriately to play, bring your own racket, water, and a can of balls if you can.
Please sign your player up on Dragonfly if they are not already and select Middle School Tennis as their sport!
PRACTICES AND MATCHES ARE HELD TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM AUGUST TO FALL BREAK, WITH THE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AFTER FALL BREAK.
