this video will walk you through how to access the ACT test within the certs act program tell first you're going to go to our Central Magnet School website and click on clever will always access sir through clever when you login to clever search is at the very bottom of the page Kayla normally click on this icon to access search I have a different accent than you as a teacher so I'm going to go show you what it would look like through their practice assessment I would advise you also to run through this practice assessment especially if you are taking start from home before sitting down to take the actual test that will tell you if your computer or your browser your internet are all set up correctly for accessing the STAAR test get to this practice assessment you will go to student. Certforschools.com so this is what it will look like statement telling you that this is a 16 question mini test so that we can start the test now when you log into cert what you will see is something that looks very similar to this page where you will see the four test hey in this case and in the case of the test that you will take the ACT timing is applied however you finish early it will let you move on or it will let you in early today so we're going to take the English test first start my exam it will show me the Sims and then this is what the actual test looks like I seen my passage the questions I see where I can pick my answer choices I can navigate between questions I can read look at the directions if this is on when I click an answer it will automatically advance to the next question I can turn it off so that then I have to always hit next to advance this time right here is the amount of time that I have spent so far so this counts appear you see a timer that counts down I can skip the question and come back in at the bottom I can see where I'm at in each of my questions if I have can also put on the flag which will remind me that I wanted to come back to this question later appear in the tools they give you a magnifier to make the reading portion bigger you can scroll they give you a highlighter so you can highlight portions of the text clear the highlighting there's a line reader which will only show you one line at a time but you can move up and then as you scroll just highlights the one wine you can eliminate answers State women have been able to cross it out in your book you can also mask answers and then you can look at just one answer at a time so those are the tools that you have available for the English portion of the test so I'm going to turn auto advance back on and then at the end submit answers I would advise you when you are taking the cert test make sure that you write down your answers as you go because sometimes internet glitches happen sometimes you will lose Wi-Fi connectivity and you would rather have them all written down to this much easier to go back and enter them that rather than having to start all over Symphony math again I see directions it looks very similar if I look at the tools I see that I have a magnifier the answer Eliminator answer masking but also now I have a calculator it's just a basic four function calculator so if you are used to having a graphing calculator to work with you would want to have your own so again I'm just going to pick some answers to submit my answer and in the reading and the science play similar they have reading has the same tools available as the English test science I see the directions the tools for the science test I have a magnifier and Eliminator and a answer masking the same as the math except I do not have a calculator with science and that walks you through the basics of taking this cert exams to take these exams through ACE. And after we're finished I have another video that will tell you how to use your results to review and remediate for your next ACT
