Vaccine Virtual Lab

First, read through the background information on vaccines.

 

To perform the virtual experiments, click on Go To "Making Vaccines" or click this link.

The final step has you create your own flow chart to illustrate how vaccines are used to build immunity. Need extra help? Use this link to help you with your vaccine flow chart.

Assessment Remediation Plan (only for major tests!!!)

-utilize directed study or lunch periods to re-teach or discuss the material one-on-one as needed.

-re-take policy for major tests (unit/summative assessments)

                -Original score = A then complete 1 of the following activities prior to taking a re-test

                -Original score = B then complete 2 of the following activities prior to taking a re-test

                -Original score = C then complete 3 of the following activities prior to taking a re-test

                -Original score = D or below then complete 4 of the following activities prior to taking a re-test

                -the re-test must be attempted within 1 week of the original test date (this may be adjusted as needed)

                -you must let me know when this will be taken…5th period (lunches B-C-D) is the best option

               

Relearning Activity Options

-Correcting your test/quiz- redoing all missed problems with an explanation as to why the correct answer is correct.

 

-PLTW, Crash Course, Bozeman science, TED videos (only if there is one available on the standard or topic missed) and take notes as proof of viewing.

 

-Make flashcards/ or use Quizlet of important vocabulary/concepts…show flashcards complete as proof.

 

-Tutoring by an adult (must turn in a note from the adult that tutored you)

 

-Make a foldable/graphic organizer with test material (bring to me and show me as proof)

 

-(if available on topic) Additional handout on topic to be completed and correct!

 

-(if applicable) Colored Diagram/Drawing/Label of related body part to topic (for example if on the ear you would draw/color/label an ear)!
